FAQ: General Photography Services

  • I didn't know how to entirely function as a human until I adopted Marco. He's given me everything and I am crushed at the thought of him not being by my side. So I've taken hundreds, thousands of photos of this guy.

    I want you to have a similar memory bank, but not where you're holding a phone and out of the moment. I want to capture you guys as you are. In a world that continues to be less and less authentic, I want to give the gift of time, click by click.

  • As much as I love my dogs, I know I have to feed them too. My services are not at all limited to pet photography.

    I have used my visual services to provide A+ content for Amazon listings, built-out Shopify storefronts, provide headshots, family photography, wedding photography and videography, senior pictures, and more.

  • So much of this answer depends on the services you want me to perform, but more important than any of that, you should expect to feel heard, not-pressured, and like your time is as important to me as it is to you.

    I've been on too many sets where there was more concern for the industry term for a clothes-pins than actually catering to the customers needs.

  • Yes! In addition to photography, I also provide videography, graphic design, and web design/management services!

    From companies like GM to small startups in the Metro Detroit area, there isn't a project I wouldn't be able to support.

  • We have shoot ranges from a simple 30 minutes to a full day, simply depending on what you're looking to accomplish!

FAQ: Pricing and Packages

  • I have rate packages for my pet services available (click on the schedule buttons to dive deeper) and also have rates available via email for any and all other services!

  • We charge a 25% deposit for all shoots which is non-refundable within 24 hours of the scheduled shoot.

  • The earlier the better! Especially if you're looking for a longer session.

  • Yes! I fully know that work schedules can complicate life and availability. I have most evenings and Saturdays open for booking. You can either check my schedule for availability or reach out at joe@woodbirdvisuals.com!

  • When you pay the session fee at the time of booking, rescheduling becomes easy. We simply find a date on the calendar that works for both of us!

    If you need to cancel an appointment, you’ll receive a full refund if you provide more than 24 hours' notice. If you cancel with less notice, we will keep 25% of the session cost. (We prefer not to do this, as we genuinely look forward to meeting your pets!)

  • Depending on the package, we’ll get back together between 7-10 days to review what we captured together!

  • We'll cover this after scheduling, but we deliver prints ranging from (all sizes in inches):

    • 5 x 7

    • 8 x 10

    • 11 x 14

    We're happy to facilitate any other sizes you may want!

  • Yes! We also offer the option to receive your visuals digitally!

FAQ: Editing and Retouching

  • Yes!

  • Yes! Before anything gets printed, we offer one round of edits on the house. Anything past that we consider an addition to how our package is structured.

  • Depending on the package chosen, you'll receive anywhere from 10-25 finished photos.

    We also build-in Instagram / Tik-Tok ready videos as part of our non-base packages.

FAQ: Rights and Usage

  • At Woodbird Visuals, we retain the copyright to all images we capture (unless otherwise contractually agreed). This means that, as the creators of the photos, we maintain ownership of the intellectual property. However, all finished, deliverable photos are yours to use as specified. We provide you with high-quality images for personal or commercial use, depending on the terms of your agreement.
